Resync your body

I think nobody could have truly predicted what 2020 would look like.

And in 2021, I believe you want to have the healthiest body, the most resilient immune system, and consistent energy so you can take on what unknowns may come your way.

Whether you’ve been injured, deconditioned, or just haven’t had the energy to achieve your #QuarantineGoals, the Resync team wants to help you recover what you’ve possibly lost and gear up for a long-awaited new year.

If it was an imbalance that best described 2020 for you, then let it be the balance that brings you to the new year with preparedness and poise!

Fascia: The Invisible Key To Feel Great

You may not even know it, but you have a net of connective tissue underneath the skin that helps you move effortlessly, protects your body from the damage of everyday life, or it can predispose you to injury and damage when you don’t take care of it. That net is called fascia, and it connects your entire body from the ground up.

Your fascia translates the balance or imbalance of your decisions into cellular signals transmitted through your entire body.

Fascia is a theme we talk about regularly here - I seriously do not want you to make the mistake of overlooking the most sensory-rich organ!

Take a look at my free ebook “Resync Your Performance and Recovery” for a wealth of evidence-based strategies to support the fascia's health.

If you want a real, practical example of how your fascia should be exercised while you train your core muscles effectively from the ground up, check out my newest fitness/rehab tool, Core Boot, here

It’s redefining what mobility, stability, and strength training look like! And let’s not forget the core boot consists of myofascial release balls, which will 100% support circulation from the ground up to enhance your energy so you can feel great.

Just a couple of examples of why I created this fitness/rehab tool:

  • Support circulation & energy from the ground up
  • Increase ankle mobility
  • Enhance stability & mobility across the entire body (including knee, hip, and back)
  • Reinforce posture alignment and balance

It will be available in January 2021. I am very excited as it will help people to move, train, and feel better every day. We all deserve less pain, more joy, and more energy in our life.

But you don’t need to wait for the next few weeks. Start taking care of your fascia and the rest of your body today.

Now let’s recap some important points before we move forward.

In the last blog, I started to talk about fascia and also how important the connection between your feet and your heart is:

  • Nutritional vasodilators like natural nitrates from red spinach, red beets, and other red and green leafy veggies are essential for the health of your heart and your feet. And those natural nitrates support nitric oxide production, which relaxes fascia.
  • The way your feet look might be telling you something about your heart health. And the healthier the fascia in your feet, the healthier your body will be.
  • Training your feet can spillover into the health of other parts of the body and systems, like your heart and connective tissues.

Now let’s get to the topic: how you can reset, recover, and rebuild your healthy net: fascia.

Fascia: The Safety Net For Your Health

As I already mentioned, the fascia is the most sensory-rich organ in your body!

It is like a sponge that absorbs everything ー from the nutrients in your food to the stress hormones in your brain ー catches all your patterns, the physical and the emotional.

In the words of renowned thought-leader Dr. Stephen Levin, your fascia is the very “fabric of your body.” It can weave the inflammation of an inactive lifestyle into every layer of your connective tissue, or it can invigorate your body from skin to bones.

Healthy fascia may even serve as a buffer or safety net since it can be a source of healthy nutrition and building blocks for injured tendons, overworked muscles, or inflamed joints.

Ultimately healthy fascia lets your tissues stretch without breaking. That extra margin of resilience might be the difference between a fall and a close-call, the difference between a strain and a break, the difference between taking a rest day from work or physical activity and bouncing back in full force.

The Impact Of Nutrition & Emotions On Fascia.

Have you wondered what your emotional gait looks like and how it affects you physically?

You may be scratching your head saying, what do you mean, Barbara?

Let me explain.

Physical gait analysis is a method used for identifying biomechanical abnormalities in the gait cycle. Or in other words, it's a tool used to assess how you walk and run.

And an emotional gait is simply our thought process - do you ever wonder how emotional decisions affect your body's health?

The damage done by unhealthy thoughts echoes through the layers of your connective tissue. It is visible on your skin, but deeply it affects every system in the body.

Therefore positive thinking and emotional health contribute to healthier fascia and overall health.

On another note, do you eat the right foods, pay attention to the right minerals and vitamins to support fascia health?

I already shared with you that I describe how to care for the health of fascia and every one of your other layers in my new ebook  Recover Every Layer of Your Body - mouth-watering recipes to meet those specific nutritional needs.

That’s a perfect solution if you want to finish off your 2020 in the most healthy and balanced way.

Taking care of your connective tissue isn’t so hard when we’ve laid it out for you layer by layer:

  • Skin
  • Fascia
  • Muscles
  • Tendons & Ligaments
  • Cartilage
  • Bone

Only care about how your skin looks?

Or how strong your muscles are?

Or how to enhance cartilage health?

Whatever your need,  I’ve made specific sections of my ebook available to you at a reduced price. Check each section here

I know that once you see what you’ve been missing when it comes to one layer of your body, you’ll soon realize how important it is to focus on your system as a whole!

Be In Charge in 2021

There are days when we forget that we are in charge and in full control of what we do and how we treat our bodies. Remember, the more positive energy you generate, the more efficient your body is.

We need gentler, consistent, and more effective steps, not a frantic push forward with no compass. Let’s not obsess on how many steps we take when we don’t even know where we’re going!

Process matters, and less can be more.

Gentler can be more powerful and produce more growth.

With any steps, you have to look at the connections between one part of your body and every other part - local to global effect.

Move with purpose.

How you stand and how you walk will impact how you perform, how you look, and how much energy you have. In short, focus on your base to unleash dimensions of efficiency, you didn’t know you had.

And the more efficient your body is, the better you feel, move, and perform and use your talents to produce outstanding results.

Treat yourself with love, compassion, respect, and understanding every day, and others around you will notice and follow.

So go back to the fundamental needs and focus on physical and emotional balance and form ー whether it’s in your career, your family life, or your personal goals, these basic tenets won’t steer you wrong!

Make 2020 an important lesson. Now it’s time to recover your health, rebuild your resilience, and Resync your body for 2021.
